How do I use Prayer Covers?
God’s Word is a strong foundation for all prayer. Through God’s Word we see His will revealed and when we ask according to His will we know that He hears us. To use a Bible verse in prayer, simply speak it back to God personalizing the verse as you pray. Prayer is all about speaking to God. He knows your every thought yet He desires that you speak to Him in prayer, because God is a God of relationship and relationship requires two-way communication. God speaks to you and you listen. You speak to God and He listens. Here is an example of how you can speak a verse of scripture as a prayer:
“The LORD will give strength unto his people;
the LORD will bless his people with peace.” Ps 29:11 KJV
Sample prayer: “Lord, I pray that You would give Your strength to ___,
for true strength comes from You alone.
Lord, I ask that You cause ___ to look to You in time of need
and that You would bless ___ with Your peace.”
The Bible verses on your Prayer Covers are selected along specific themes. There are many additional verses in the Bible along those same themes which you may want to include in your prayers as well.
As you speak God’s Word over yourself and those you love, God’s Word is
effective to accomplish what it says. “So shall my word be that goeth forth out
of my mouth; it shall not return unto me void, but it shall
accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”
Isaiah 55:11 KJV.
In a world where many negative and damaging words are spoken, God gives us the opportunity to pray His Word of life and blessings. Be faithful and consistent in prayer and watch His Word impact your life and the lives of those you love.
